After a successful IndieGoGo campaign, Tuatha Dea is once again in the studio recording their 5th Full-Length album, Kilts & Corsets. The band is currently recording at Lakeside Studios in Knoxville, TN with Grammy-Nominated Producer, Travis Wyrick. Expected to be released in early June, the band is giving you exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the recording process!
In late November, 2016, a great fire swept through the Great Smoky Mountains, destroying countless acres of land, many local businesses and homes, and displacing thousands of individuals. During this time, the band members found themselves, like so many others, confined to a hotel unable to return home to find out what awaited them after being evacuated as the fires moved closer and closer into the town. Tuatha Dea proudly calls Gatlinburg, Tennessee home, and the mountains in the area have provided not only solace and comfort to them over the years, but inspiration as well. In the heartbreak and fear that lingered with them during this time, inspiration struck in the form of a song, and in the hopes that the song could bring some comfort to those affected.
Within days, a Mountain Benefit Concert was organized at the Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge, TN, and Tuatha Dea was asked to perform. See their first live performance of “Appalachia Burning” below.
